No, I do not recommend inducing vomiting. The pieces could get stuck or cause trauma to Zoe's esophagus. This may pass without problem, so keep an eye on her for now, and give her one piece of bread with each meal. No more coconut oil. I never recommend including vomiting at home because the substance used at home causes esophagitis and gastritis, often worse than the initial problem. Plus, the shoe could become stuck in his esophagus, leading to a very serious situation. You can take him into a vet now to have vomiting safely induced with a shot, or you can chose to monitor him. It sounds as Kasatka is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

As long as he is eating and drinking normally, I would not be concerned. If he begins to vomit or loses his appetite, then I would recommend having a veterinarian take a look at him and perform some diagnostic testing such as x-rays to help rule out a foreign body obstruction from the plastic. If he eats it and keeps it down, you can offer him more in 2-3 hrs. However, if he refuses to eat, vomits or if he is not passing stools as normal, you should take him to your local vets for an appointment.

If it has been less than an hour since your pet ate it, you can induce vomiting by giving an oral dose of hydrogen peroxide, about 1 cc per pound. One tablespoon is about 5 cc. A turkey baster will work if you don't have a syringe. Longer than an hour and it will have already moved into the intestines. If it's too late to get him to vomit, you can reasonably expect diarrhea at least. I would withhold food for 12-24 hours to give his gut a chance to rest after this very rich meal. When you start feeding him, only give him a few pieces of kibble at a time, every 30 minutes or so, until he has had his usual meal. If at any time he develops lethargy, fever, repeated vomiting, abdominal pain, or any other adverse symptoms, he should be seen by your vet right away. The plastic could cause a blockage that can seriously damage his intestines.

Depending on the size of Koda and how big the piece of fork was that she ate, will determine if she will potentially have problems or not. She will most likely be fine. At this point, I would just monitor. What you will want to monitor Koda for are decreased appetite / activity, lethargy, diarrhea, vomiting or abdominal pain. These symptoms would indicate a potential problem from ingesting the piece of fork. Problems would include an intestinal obstruction or some type of laceration / puncture to the intestines as it passes through the GI tract. Koda will most likely pass this in her stool. I would watch her bowel movements for the next 24-48 hours to ensure that it has passed. If she is completely normal in 48 hours still, I would bet that she will be ok! I hope this helps!
