My dog ate plastic and has bloody mucus stools. Is this an emergency?

It could also be intestinal worms, which are common in puppies. As long as he's eating and drinking, and otherwise behaving normally, it's not an emergency. I would have phivo evaluated by a veterinarian. Vomiting and diarrhea with blood can be caused by viruses such as parvovirus (if he isn't vaccinated fully) or can be caused by irritation in the stomach and bowel from eating things he shouldn't or by certain foods that don't agree with him. A veterinarian will be able to make sure phivo is hydrated, give him medication for vomiting and diarrhea, and do tests such as fecal exam or x-rays to sort out what is going on. If you absolutely cannot get him in right away, I would fast him for 12 hours then feed a bland diet exclusively (boiled skinless chicken breast and white rice). It sounds as Moko is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.
