My dog ate a mango seed. Is it safe, especially after puppies?

Typically Cherries do not have reports of causing toxicity or issues in animals. I would monitor Maia for vomiting and diarrhea. IF you see any vomiting and diarrhea I would take her to a vet for a food exam. However I think the likeliness she would have a problem is small.

If he swallowed it whole, it's very likely to cause an intestinal obstruction as it moves through his GI tract, which would require surgery. If he just ate it, I would recommend having him seen by a vet right away - he/she can give an injection to safely induce vomiting so that, hopefully, he will throw it up and you won't need to worry.

Hello. The biggest problem with an ingested pit is the possibility of an obstruction. Apricots are a bit smaller than some other stone fruits & your dog is quite large so I would opt for a watch & see if anything bad happens. Vomiting, loss of appetite, a painful abdomen are all potential signs of a problem, but I would guess that Moose will be fine. Lychee seeds are large and can cause cyanide intoxication (like most seeds), she is quite small so even one seed could potentially cause a toxic reaction. if this happens in the past 2-3 hours i would recommend taking her to the vet in order to have an injection to induce vomiting, better safe than sorry.

There are 2 concerns with papaya seeds. The first is that they contain very small amounts of cyanide. The amount is very small, so even a small dog would have to eat a large amount of seeds to have any problem with that. The second concern is the possibility of an intestinal blockage if they are not able to pass the seeds. This is certainly a concern in a small dog, so monitor Mondy closely for any vomiting, lethargy or inappetance and have him examined immediately if you notice any of those signs. Good luck! The poisonous part of the pits are contained in the inner kernel so unless the pit is cracked open and the kernel missing, im not worried about that. That gnawing probably resulted in only tiny bits -if any- of the pit being swallowed. A dog this size is unlikely to have problems with that. Of course he may have a sensitive stomach or have gotten into something else in the trash that would cause a problem. If you see more than 3 episode of vomiting, severe lethargy, or loss of appetite lasting more than 8 hours, see an emergency vet to make sure he’s ok. Best of luck to you and Huxley!

However, it is still warranted to monitor closely for any signs that could be indicative of a gastrointestinal obstruction such as vomiting, inappetence and abdominal pain. If these are observed at any point, have Aqua evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible as that may represent a gastrointestinal obstruction which most of the time requires surgery. If this is going to be an issue, usually symptoms can show up to a week after the event typically. Some dogs do develop transient gastrointestinal upset with vomiting, diarrhea and inappetence when they ingest avocado so if she also ate the avocado per se then this may be an issue.
