Hello. The biggest problem with an ingested pit is the possibility of an obstruction. Apricots are a bit smaller than some other stone fruits & your dog is quite large so I would opt for a watch & see if anything bad happens. Vomiting, loss of appetite, a painful abdomen are all potential signs of a problem, but I would guess that Moose will be fine. If you are concerned, please consult with your veterinarian as soon as possible. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

Ideally, Moose should be examined by your veterinarian or at the nearest veterinary ER. One apricot pit likely will not pose a risk of obstruction in a dog of his size, however, the pits do contain cyanide compounds which are toxic.
The veterinarian can induce vomiting via injection to, hopefully, bring the pit up and out. If this doesn't work, endoscopy or surgery may be indicated to remove the pit.
