My dog ate a lot of chips. Is it dangerous for him? Will he be okay?

While McDonald fries are certainly delicious, they are not meant for dogs. The problem with them is that they are both high in fat and salt, and fatty foods cause pancreatitis in dogs. Pancreatitis is an inflammation of the pancreas, and it's a very serious condition that requires intensive care because it can be fatal. If T'challa ate these fries within the last two hours, you can take him into a vet immediately to have vomiting induced to prevent any problems. If it's been longer than two hours, monitor him. Should you see a loss of appetite, vomiting, and/or belly pain, that could mean he has pancreatitis and you will need to take him into a vet immediately. I would withhold food for tonight and if he appears fine tomorrow and doesn't show any of the symptoms I mentioned above, feed him a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal food. I hope this helps!

This isn't toxic by any mean but it can cause gastrointestinal upset, withhold food for 12 hours, leave the water available, he might throw up and have some diarrhea but i would not expect anything too serious.

HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! The chips themselves won't hurt her. It would depends on how big the pieces of the bag were that she could have swallowed. If you can barely tell if pieces of the bag are missing then I am sure she will be fine. Watch for vomit, lethargy, not eating and belly pain as signs of a blockage. I wish Zoey the best!

If this happened recently, ie within the past 2 hours or so, you should take him to a vet for inducing vomiting. If this has been longer then you need to watch your dog for a tummy ache, diarrhea, vomiting, lethargy, as he could get pancreatitis from the food he is not used to. Also the wrappers could cause trouble. Watch his feces, wrappers should show up as they pass through the intestinal canal. If he shows any signs of discomfort, please take him to a veterinarian or Pet ER.

Maxi can get pancreatitis from this or diarrhea and vomiting. I would recommend giving her a bland diet (boiled chicken and white rice) just to calm everything down and then monitor her. If she starts vomiting, diarrhea, not eating, becomes lethargic then I recommend bringing her to a veterinarian. More than likely, Max will be fine. The paper towel should pass through him, and I would monitor his poop to see if it comes out. There is a chance the grease from the fried chicken could cause some problems, such as pancreatitis or GI upset. If Max begins vomiting, especially undigested food, that is a symptom of pancreatitis, and he will need to be taken into a vet right away. I would monitor him for vomiting, not eating, lethargy, diarrhea, vomiting water, and not drinking water. If you see any of those signs, take him into your vet immediately.

Naughty Copper! I'm sure he enjoyed it :) Bacon contains a lot of fat, so I would expect that he may have some mild stomach upset for the next day or so. There is a chance that he could develop a more serious problem called pancreatitis from eating so much bacon - if this happens, you will see symptoms such as repeated episodes of vomiting, lethargy, loss of appetite, and sometimes bloody diarrhea. If any of these signs are seen, then you will need to take him to the vet right away for treatment.
