My dog ate homemade play dough, throwing up and peeing. What to do?

Raw bread dough creates a number of concerns most notably the ethanol poisoning but also possible bloat and bowel obstruction as it rapidly expands at body temperature. Intravenous fluids and b vitamins as soon as possible can help eliminate the ethanol and support blood pressure and circulation, blood glucose and breathing complications should be monitored carefully. Bloat and vomiting would be concerning signs and may indicate that emergency surgery may be required

Yes. Unfortunately cookie dough is not good for dogs. He could have pancreatitis but he could also have salmonella. If the dough had chocolate chips those can also be toxic to dogs. You need to get him back to the vet for treatment - both pancreatitis and salmonella can be deadly if left untreated. Pancreatitis can also cause permanent damage to the pancreas making this a lifelong condition. I highly recommend you not feed him anything but food made for dogs in the future. Best wishes.

It's common for puppies and adult dogs to throw-up when they eat something that doesn't agree with their stomach. This can also happen when they exercise just after eating. I wouldn't be concerned unless she vomits three or more times, has any other signs of illness, or you notice blood in the vomit. Otherwise, she should be fine. Give her stomach a rest for four or more hours and only feed a small amount at her next feeding. If she keeps that down, then you can feed her the normal amount of her food. I hate to hear that Blu Bear is sick. Eating 8 doughnuts will do that to him. If he seems to be really miserable or if his gums are dry to the touch, I would advise to take him into the veterinarian tonight. The doctor can give him an injection to stop vomiting and some subcutaneous fluids to dehydrate him. If he seems relatively happy and his gums are nice and moist, offer him only very small amount of water and no food until morning. Feed him boiled chicken and white rice for the next 3 days. If he is still sick tomorrow morning, take him into the vet for treatment. I hope this helps!

It would be a good idea to check some blood work on her, especially her sodium levels. X-rays will help to ensure that she vomited all of the large pieces of salt. Hello. Fortunately, there is nothing toxic in this product. However, there is a very small chance that this could lead to an intestinal blockage, if he ate any at all. I would go ahead & take a slice of bread, & apply a good layer of Vaseline to it. Feed Hikaru a piece at a time, allowing him to eat as much as he likes up to the whole piece of bread. The Vaseline will not be actually absorbed, but will coat any possible pieces of the clay helping things to pass through smoothly. The clay will possibly soften with the moisture in the gut & the warmer body temperature, too. You should see a softer stool in about 12-18 hours & may last for a day or so, but there should be no abdominal discomfort or vomiting. If you do see more than 1 episode of vomiting, or you think there is any abdominal pain or bloating, please see your veterinarian immediately. Oh dear, poor Brandy! It is possible that she is experiencing some gastroenteritis from even a small amount of cookie dough. You can try to withhold food for the next 12-24 hours, then offer a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken for a few days. Once the vomiting subsides, gradually mix her normal food with the bland diet over another 5-7 days. However, if Brandy continues to vomit, develops diarrhea, lethargy, or refuses to eat the bland diet, she will need to go to her vet. She may need IV fluids and medications to help slow her vomiting.
