My dog ate a tiny glass fuse from Christmas lights. What should I do?

Oh that was naughty of Mr. Pugglesworth (I love his name!). I would not recommend including vomiting, as it will likely cause damage to the esophagus on the way out. It is quite small, so hopefully it will pass through the GI tract without issue. I would give him a piece of whole wheat bread now, which will hopefully form a ball of ingesta around the bread, cushioning it out on the way through the GI tract. Give him this slice of bread with every meal. I would monitor his poop for signs of it, and if it hasn't passed in 72 hours, then I would take him into the vet. I don't think it will cause an obstruction, but I would monitor for signs of it just in case. These signs including vomiting, anorexia, lethargy, diarrhea, and constipation. If you see any of those signs, I would take him into the vet.

Oh dear! Young dogs often do things like this, unfortunately. This may pass through uneventfully, or it may become stuck in the intestines and cause an obstruction. It depends a bit on whether he chewed it up first vs. swallowing it whole, and on how large the piece was that he ate. You will need to monitor him closely for the next few days for any signs of a problem. Symptoms of an intestinal obstruction would include repeated episodes of vomiting, acting lethargic, not wanting to eat, and not having bowel movements. If you see any of these signs, you will need to take Jim to the vet right away for an exam and x-rays, since he may need emergency surgery to remove the blockage.

You could try feeding Aura some bulky food like canned food - if the pieces of glass were small they could pass. Otherwise I’d recommend making an appointment to see your vet when they open. They would probably recommend taking an x-ray. If Aura vomits or has a decrease in appetite I’d recommend seeing an emergency veterinarian.

It is important to see where the foreign object is and how large it is comparable to his intestines. It may be able to pass in his stool if it is small. If not, he could require surgery to have it removed. If he starts to vomit, refuse food or water or becomes lethargic, these are signs of a blockage. This can indicate an emergency. Toxicity wise there isn't much to worry about but the wire could still irritate the stomach and intestines, depending on the amount it could also cause an obstruction. if the wire was connected to the electricity at the time of ingestion he could also have been electrocuted which can cause some internal damage in the lungs and throat for example. you should consider all these options and decide if you want to monitor him for now or take him tp the vet right away for a checkup.

Watch for vomiting, excessive drooling, blood coming from her mouth, diarrhea, blood in her poop, lethargy, or a loss of appetite. If you see any of those signs, Abby will have to see a vet. Vets will see animals for medical emergencies during this time.

I would think it should pass without complication. But if you notice any nausea, vomiting, and/or diarrhea I would advise contacting your vet ASAP. Your vet can get a detailed history and then perform a physical exam. They can then advise any other tests which could include blood tests and x-rays if needed. I would advise feeding Arya some canned pumpkin (one tablespoon every 12 hours with her food to increase fiber and hopefully help pass the piece of floss. I would do this for the next 3-5 days and continue to assess her behavior, etc. Good luck with Arya.
