My dogs ate corned beef hash and eggs. Are the spices harmful?

I would not be overly worried about this. The small amount of nutmeg used in recipes is very unlikely to cause serious toxicity, though mild stomach upset could occur if a small amount is ingested. Hello, thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I would not be too worried about this. The most that would happen would be that Nudge would get an upset stomach. An upset stomach can lead to diarrhea and vomiting which are usually self-limiting (meaning they will resolve on their own within 12-36 hours). If she begins showing any signs of an upset stomach that don't resolve in that time period then you should take her to your vet for treatment. Capsicum (cayenne) is not toxic to dogs.
