My dog ate Cheetos and a trash bag, now he's vomiting. Is it serious?

This is not a toxic food (even if she ate a lot), so I wouldn't be too worried. If she is otherwise acting normal, then it's likely that this just upset her stomach. Usually they vomit once or twice, then get over it. It's best not to feed her until morning while her stomach settles. If she starts vomiting multiple times (three or more) and is acting lethargic or abnormal, then I would be more concerned and recommend a visit to the vet. If Louis has had no more diarrhea or vomiting, he is likely ok. If he continues with either, or if he stops eating or becomes very lethargic, you should schedule an examination with your vet to get him on some medications to make him feel better. Try to give only cat-specific treats and not cheetos as clearly they do not agree with Louis' tummy!

A few cheetos may not make Felix sick but it could. Watch for vomiting or diarrhea. You may try feeding him a bland diet of boiled white rice and plain boiled white chicken meat for 24 hours. Have him examined if he becomes significantly ill. I hope this helps.

Oh no, it's not good that MJ ate an entire bag of Reese's cups! While one doesn't contain a lot of chocolate, an entire bag of them may be enough to cause chocolate toxicity, one sign of which is vomiting. Because of this and his currently symptoms, I would take him into a vet immediately for treatment. He needs decontamination procedures in case he is suffering from chocolate toxicity. There is also the potential that enough foils could cause a GI blockage, and that needs to be ruled in or out as well. Either take him into your normal vet or find an ER vet clinic or vet on call if your normal vet is closed. Best of luck!

Rockie is adorable and I'm sorry to hear that he isn't feeling well. After eating a heavy, greasy meal, he may have developed gastroenteritis (inflammation in his stomach and intestines) or pancreatitis. Aside from assuring that he is drinking water and offering a bit of a bland diet (boiled white meat chicken and rice) as you have done, there isn't anything more that can be done at home. Young puppies are more susceptible to the effects of dehydration than adult dogs and need to be treated a bit more urgently. At this point, Rockie needs to take a trip to the vet for an exam, diagnostic testing and supportive care (IV fluids and medications). I hope that he is feeling better soon!

Hi there and thanks for posting this morning! Nachos- oh no! If he ate a lot of them or they were covered in cheese or other ingredients such as hot peppers, onions, etc, and he doesn't vomit them in in the next 15 mins, then please take him to a veterinary emergency clinic to induce vomiting. Nachos can cause not only stomach upset, but can cause pancreatitis from the excessive fat in the cheese and other ingredients as toppings can be potentially toxic such as onions. I hope he vomits them soon but if not, he may need a little help doing this at a veterinary emergency clinic. Best of luck to you and Junior!

She most likely got sick from the hot Cheeto. I would try feeding her plain boiled boneless, skinless chicken and white rice to help settle her tummy then slowly integrate her regular food again. If the poop continues to look like that I would have your vet take a look at her.
