Dog ate carpet, passing it. What signs mean I need to see a vet?

This is probably going to cause some problem, at the very least vomiting and constipation but it could also cause an intestinal blockage, i strongly recommend that you take him to the vet in order to have an xray done, this way the vet will be able to assess the situation and treat it accordingly.

No, this will not heal on it's own if this has been going on for a week. It's extremely serious Bentley can't keep any food down, and I would be very concerned this carpeting and drywall could be causing an obstruction. Well that was naughty of Teddy to eat the rug. If he has since eaten well with no vomiting and continues to not vomit, have a normal appetite and use the bathroom fine, he should be ok. Signs of an obstruction are continuous vomiting (even water), lack of appetite, scant (small) feces and lethargy (decreased energy level). I hope that Teddy is able to pass the rug pieces well. If he chewed it well then chances of him passing it are really good. He may have an upset stomach though, at which time you can try a bland diet of boiled plain chicken and rice or cottage cheese to see if it settles things down. If she vomits again, has any difficulty pooping (acting constipated) is lethargic, not eating or otherwise acts sick at all, then she needs to go to the vet asap. If she is 100% normal after this, then she may have vomited all the fibers that she ate. Be sure to watch what she is chewing on, puppies get into everything. Good luck, I hope this helps.

If Zoe did not eat a lot, this likely will pass without problem. There is a chance it could cause an obstruction or GI upset, so monitor her for signs such as vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, or anorexia. If you see any of those signs, have her seen by a vet. Best of luck.

It can take up to 72 hours or longer for this string to pass. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do to get it to pass, it either will or it won't. If you see vomiting, diarrhea, anorexia, or lethargy, then I would take him into a vet immediately. Best of luck.

Oops sorry that happened! Thanks for reaching out. Stuffing from furniture like sofas can cause gastrointestinal distress including gastrointestinal obstruction. Signs you'll want to keep an eye out for are vomiting, unable to keep food or water down, regurgitating shortly after meals, inappetence, and diarrhea.
