My dog puked up string and carpet. Is a vet visit necessary?

There is always the possibility that there is more frisbee in her stomach and/or intestinal tract. Toys such as these do have the potential for causing an intestinal obstruction. I would not take her into a vet now, but monitor her for the next 72 hours. If she continues to vomit, stops eating, starts having diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts throwing up water, or becomes very lethargic, those are signs of obstruction, and then I would take her into a vet right away.

Lola may have been eating grass as well if she had an upset stomach, and that could cause the color of the vomit. Keep an eye on her for now, and if she vomits again, have her seen by a vet. I would recommend monitoring for any signs of trouble. This likely will pass on its own since it is so small and pliable. If he starts vomiting (both food and water), has a decreased appetite, becomes lethargic and has little to no stool production, then it is best to get him seen by your vet for a possible issue. However, he will likely be just fine and will pass this out in his stool. Yes you are right that he is still susceptible to getting parvovirus until 1 week after his last set of vaccinations, which is usually between 14-16 weeks of age. That was not good Loki ate his bed! Since he is acting normally now, I'd just keep an eye on him for now. If he starts vomiting again, stops eating, becomes lethargic, or has diarrhea, then I would take him into the vet. Best of luck.

He may be experiencing symptoms of having a gastrointestinal obstruction though other things like dietary indiscretion, pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, among other things could also be going on. For this reason, I recommend that you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as soon as possible to ensure that this does not become worse and to see if he will require therapy such as surgery if he is in fact having an obstruction. However, if she continues to vomit, this may be due to an obstruction and further therapy may be needed.
