Yes, she may have some vomiting and/or diarrhea. I don't think you should do anything differently. Usually these symptoms are self-limiting, meaning they will go away on their own with no treatment. If the symptoms last longer than 48 hours then you need to take her to a vet for an exam.

I am sorry to hear about your dog! Since she has been having diarrhea for 5 days now and it seems to be worsening I would recommend bringing her in to the vet for an exam. She could be suffering from colitis as a result of her ingestion (the most likely cause) or it could be unrelated. She likely needs some medication to help decrease inflammation in the GI tract (most commonly we use a drug called Metronidazole) and often we will also prescribe probiotics, antidiarrheal medications, and special diets in these cases. In some cases pets may become dehydrated from ongoing diarrhea and require fluids to rehydrate them.

Hello. It is possible, depending on how much Mijah ate. All that sugar can cause what we call an osmotic diarrhea by pulling excess water out of the ingesta in the intestines. Most of these diarrheas are self-limiting, so if Mijah feels like eating you can feed a bland diet of 25% boiled chicken & 75% white rice or low fat cottage cheese. Feed small amounts more frequently over the next 2-3 days, & the stool should start to firm up. As long as there is no xylitol, the worst you may see is some minor stomach upset (vomiting or diarrhea). As long as Charlie is behaving normally, you should be fine. Minor stomach upset can typically be managed at home with a short fast followed by a bland diet fed in small, frequent amounts until symptoms resolve. Transition slowly to the regular diet afterwards. Symptoms that should be addressed by your veterinarian may include: persistent or worsening stomach upset, loss of appetite, abdominal pain or lethargy.

Poor Bella! It could be the bacon treat has caused the GI upset, but that did happen quite quickly so it could also be caused by a GI illness or intestinal parasites.
