My dog ate kibble with a dead Asian lady beetle. Is it poisonous?

Good job, you did the right thing to get it out of his mouth and rinse it out. Without knowing the exact beetle I can't tell you for sure it's not toxic but generally they can irritate the mouth but not cause a serious problem. As with all toxins keep watch for vomiting, trouble breathing or facial swelling. Take him in right away if they are any abnormal symptoms. Most bugs will not harm a dog if eaten. In general, the more colorful a bug is, the more toxic it may be. Rinse his mouth thoroughly with cool water for at least 15 minutes. Monitor for lethargy, drooling, swelling or pawing at the mouth. See your veterinarian if any of these symptoms develop.

If that is the case, she may develop signs of breathing difficulties within a few minutes from eating the bug. If that happened, it should be treated as an emergency. If Myla ate the bug a while ago and she looks fine now, there should not be any problems, she will likely digest the bug.

Even if the cockroach had come into contact with some type of insecticide, it's extremely unlikely that there would be enough present to cause any toxicity issues for Bubbles - so as long as he's acting normal, you shouldn't need to worry :)

Yes, as she only ate one she'll be fine. She would need to eat much more to make her sick. Please try to keep human food away from Bella as it can give her an upset stomach or diarrhea. Chocolate is the worst toxicity as dogs love chocolate, but grapes or raisins can cause kidney failure so please be careful with those things also. The main insect to be concerned about would be a venomous spider like a black widow or brown recluse. Bites from these spiders can cause large wounds and tissue necrosis and can be very complicated to treat. Other insect bites will be a nuisance but should not cause any major problems. Additionally, if your cat eats the bugs, the only symptoms you may see are those related to GI upset. These symptoms would include drooling excessively, inappetance, vomiting and/or diarrhea.
