How many days should my dog take amoxicillin for a mouth ulcer?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | 1 year and 3 months old

Generally and usually how many days vet prescribe amoxicillin potassium clavulanate course in order to permanently heal the ulcer of the mouth Danny weigh 34kg and my vet prescribed it for 10 days and my friend said usually amoxicillin course is for about 5 or 9 days so I m confused now

Hi there. With antibiotics there are varying doses and durations, however in general for an abcess you would be looking at 12.5mg/kg (425mg) for anywhere between 7-14 days. For an abcess 10 days sounds very reasonable.
