If only Robin could talk! This type of behavior could be related to something like anxiety or to pain/discomfort. I recommend to have her examined by the veterinarian who will check for evidence of pain on the physical exam. They may also check a urine sample or the anal glands as well. Hi there. Adding a new puppy to the household can be stressful for your current dog, so it's common to see housetraining relapses and other issues pop up when this happens. Just to "back to basics" with Poli for now, to remind her where to potty - take her out frequently, praise and reward when she goes to the bathroom outside, and supervise her or keep her crated when you can't watch her in the house. Once she's been accident free for a couple of weeks, you can gradually start relaxing your supervision again and let things get back to normal.

With sudden accidents, it is always best to schedule a vet checkup first to rule out any underlying issues such as infection, GI upset, neurological or muscular issues, etc. if she checks out healthy, it may be that something has startled or upset her, especially if this was the same time last year that she had accidents last, causing her to have accidents inside instead of going out. You may need to temporarily revert to a "puppy" style of potty training again, just to get her back into the routine of going outside until she is more comfortable with whatever caused the accidents to start. Poor Onyx! I recommend you have him seen by a veterinarian to help rule out medical cause for his behaviour. If he is otherwise healthy, his behaviour may be caused by stress at the new family member in the house. Try to stick to a daily routine with him, and maybe save a little of his food for your brother in law to give him daily so Onyx can have positive associations with him.
