No, the ingredients used to kill lice in the shampoos are different than those used for mites. Even so, mange mites are not killed well through shampoos, as these mites burrow under the skin. After some research I have found that you can buy Ivermectin. It is very EASY to overdose so please be careful dosing your dog. It is dosed by weight. Follow the label instructions carefully and repeat every 14 days until one month after all the mange is gone. It is strongly recommended that you work with your vet on using this product. Hi there! Scabies is generally fairly easy to treat. Your veterinarian should prescribe a medication such as Bravecto or ivermectin, which will clear it up without any problems. I'm not aware of any over-the-counter remedies that are effective, so this is best left to your veterinarian to treat :)

Hi there and thank you for using pet coach! In my experience, I've not seen coconut oil do much to relieve inflammation and allergies. I would instead recommend that you use a shampoo such as Douxo PS calm shampoo and bathe twice weekly. You can find this shampoo easily online. I would also recommend using welactin omega 3 fish oil and essential 6 spot on by dermoscent. Malacetic conditioning spray can also be used and applied to the affected area 2 to 3 times per day until resolved. All of the above recommended products can be found online. If this does not help then I would consider prescription medications such as Apoquel or Cytopoint, both of which are prescription drugs that will need to be prescribed by Sherry's veterinarian.
