He could be panting because he's in pain, he's hot, or he has a health issue like heart disease. I would put him in a cool and dark place to see if that helps with the panting. If she's seeming in distress, unable to breathe or is very pale/turning blue, or seems in discomfort or is disoriented, it would be best to bring her to a vet ASAP for care. Stress or pain can also sometimes cause these symptoms. Making sure there isn't a sudden stressor causing, or removing any sources of stress may help her to calm down, however if the symptoms continue or worsen, or new ones appear, seeking vet care is best.

Hello. Making any kind of assumption or diagnosis is very difficult just based on panting & shivering, but I can tell you this can be typical signs of pain & an elevated temperature. Since he has periods of normal behavior, my concerns is there is some underlying pain that JosLouis is experiencing. Any abrupt behavioral change is a good excuse to get him in to see your vet. He may be starting to develop a medical condition that should be investigated but it's so early that the only symptom he is displaying is this strange behavior. There may be something happening periodically that is making him uncomfortable of the feeling comes and goes, but either way, it should be looked into by your vet. Your vet will do a thorough exam, possibly some x-rays and/or bloodwork, as indicated. Based on these results your vet will have a better idea what is going on and be better able to advise you as to what action should be taken.
