Why is my Chihuahua suddenly scared, shaky, and stiff then fine?

I still recommend to have Chico examined today. That abnormal behavior could have been caused by a seizure, a heart condition or a low blood sugar episode (which is HIGHLY abnormal in an adult dog and often indicate liver disease). The doctor will need to check some bloodwork to look for various causes of seizures and liver abnormalities. They will also check the heart and then discuss their findings and your options. Shaking and/or trembling can be a sign of anxiety or pain. I would recommend evaluating the environment Sissy is in and see if there is anything new or unusual that could be causing her stress/anxiety. If everything is normal then I would be concerned that Sissy is painful/uncomfortable for some reason. If this behavior continues for more than a day or so or Sissy stops wanting to eat or drink, then you should probably have her checked out by your veterinarian. I hope this helps. Since I am unable to examine Tia, I would have her examined by your veterinarian to ensure this is nothing serious. If she is acting strange, she could have had a seizure or may be about to have seizure. Certain systemic illnesses may also exhibit similar symptoms. Any continued abnormal symptoms (longer than 24 hours) warrants a vet exam. I cannot tell you what is wrong with him just by your description. I can tell you that you need to be diligent about getting weird behavior changes checked out . Behavior changes could be due to an underlying medical issue (pain somewhere in his body, vision problem, etc) or a behavioral issue. It is always best to rule out an underlying medical issue first before just assuming it is behavioral. I suggest you get him to a vet for an exam.

Minnie could be shaking because she's cold or it could be a sign of pain. Toy breeds like chihuahuas can also be notorious for shaking due to anxiety or nervousness.
