Why is my puppy chihuahua vomiting, lethargic, and shaking its head?

Hi, I have a puppy chihuahua, he eat's very little, he drink's alot of water but... he vomit's something clear , he shakes his head alot like frustrated, and has no energy to walk and sleep's alot, pleas help im very scared!

Poor Tomy. Drinking a lot of water and a decrease in appetite suggests that he may have an infection. Because he is shaking his head I would have his ears checked first to see if he has an ear infection (otitis external).

If he has a deep infection (otitis interns) in the ears, this can also throw off his balance, cause vomiting (motion sickness), and cause him to walk awkwardly. It is best it have him checked by your vet soon to be evaluated and examined thoroughly. Until you can get him in be seen, offer Tomy small portions of canned food to keep him nutritionally sound. Best of luck with Tomy and I hope his ears and current health status improve soon.

Oh no, poor Tomy! It is extremely serious that such a young puppy is having these symptoms, and he could be suffering from a severe GI illness, may have eaten something rotten or toxic, could have a foreign body, or may have parvovirus. He isn't old enough to be fully vaccinated, and parvo is too often fatal in young puppies. With these symptoms at his age, he needs veterinary care now to diagnose what is causing them so he can be treated. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.

It can be something more minor like a bacterial infection or it could be something potentially fatal like parvovirus (if your puppy is not properly vaccinated) or an intestinal blockage. I recommend to play it safe and have Princeton examined by the veterinarian tonight. Puppies who don't eat may run the risk of having low blood sugar or dehydration. It's always best to play it safe. Poor Fudge! I can give you a home remedy to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he vomits the bland diet, he refuses to eat the bland diet, he develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away.
