Can I safely buy my dog's prescription eye medication online?

You cannot get a prescription online. If she does have an ear infection, she will have to see a vet to get it treated. As long as there are no other changes that the other eye did not previously have and this is the exact same problem as the opposite eye, I would say it is probably safe to assume this is the same problem and using the same eye medication should be ok. Unfortunately we cannot give a prescription for these medications, it's illegal for us to do so without seeing him in person. You will need a prescription to get these medications, and in order to get that, you will have to take him into the vet. I'd make an appointment for him to be seen in the next couple of days. Hi there. Unfortunately, there are no heartworm preventatives that are available over-the-counter - by definition, these are prescription products. But, you can certainly choose to order them through an online pharmacy like 1-800-PetMeds or Chewy.com if you like, as these may be less expensive than purchasing through your vet's office. Your veterinarian should be able to give you a prescription to have filled at any pharmacy you choose, as long as your pet has had an exam within the past year. :)
