Is it safe to bathe my puppy before all their vaccines are done?

Yes you can bathe your pets using a puppy shampoo only. They can regulate their body temperature by week 2. And you should start vaccinating them when they are 6-8 weeks of age, but typically we start at 8 weeks. If you really want to take him, then I recommend carrying him into the facility. Place him in the tub, bathe him and then carry him out of the store. Do not allow him to interact with other dogs or go to the bathroom outside the store where other dogs go. Many infectious diseases are spread through the feces. I hope this information helps!

Bathing isn't really a concern after your dog has been vaccinated unless they also applied a flea/tick product. In that case, you should wait a minimum of two days. Just be mindful as Luke may be a little sore over his vaccination sites.

Hmm... that's definitely very strange! I have never heard of anyone being told not to bathe their puppy until vaccines are finished, and have never given this advice myself - like you, I can't think of any reason at all why this would matter. I suspect that there may have been a misunderstanding, so I would suggest calling your vet's office and speaking to a different employee (or the vet, if possible) to clarify :)

Thanks for visting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Coco is considered to be fully vaccinated 7 days after her 3rd round of vaccines, which is between 14-16 weeks of age. She currently isn't fully vaccinated, so it is best to wait a bit if possible. I would recommend doing puppy wipes or waterless shampoo until then, if you are not too keen on doing a full on bath right now. This can at least get some of the puppy dirt off until she is ideal age for a grooming appt. Another alternative is to have a mobile groomer do her bath or discuss with the grooming facility to see if they take any extra precautions for puppies that aren't fully vaccinated. Hello, Toby may not be allowed to get a bath due to him being too young and the potential that he could be come too cold after his bath. Other potential reasons could include that he may be a little sick from his injection and thus giving him a bath may again make him too cold and make him feel worse. If you do give him a bath, make sure its with luke warm water and that you dry him off completely after his bath. Hope this helps and best of luck.
