Good question., you did the right thing. Percy will be fine as long as you dried him off and he didn't get chilled. If he's eating normally and moving around he will be fine. It's likely a normal smell for puppies at this age. This "puppy breath" is very strong and unpleasant smelling, but goes away and turns into dog breath around the time they are 3-4 months old. If the pups are otherwise normal, then I would not be concerned. They are due for their first vaccines between 6-8 weeks of age, so you can have the vet check the breath when you take them in for that. It could be just normal puppy breath. Some people feel like it doesn't smell good. If she tends to eat poop, this could also be the cause. With her being so young, I would not expect her to have any dental tartar causing a smell. If it continues or it gets worse, I would have your vet take a look at the mouth to ensure there isn't an infection somewhere.

It would be best to have a veterinarian do an exam on him. It’s possible he may have a wound on the roof of his mouth or back of his throat, or a piece of grass or a small twig stuck on a back tooth, etc, or a wound elsewhere in his mouth. It’s also possible that he’s having some tooth root problems with the recent eruption of adult teeth. If he is eating fine and otherwise acting normally, it’s ok to try brushing his teeth and try a rinse or water additive designed for halitosis (bad breath) in dogs. Yes you can bathe your pets using a puppy shampoo only. They can regulate their body temperature by week 2.
