Are lethargy and loss of appetite common Apoquel side effects in dogs?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Cocker Spaniel | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 9 months old

Renty has allergies she just started Apoquel yesterday, today I’ve noticed she’s a bit lethargic and she hasn’t eaten her breakfast yet.. I’m trying not to panic

Gastrointestinal upset and a decrease in appetite can be a side effect of Apoquel but it is not very common. Often the symptoms will improve after a few days. As long as Remy is not vomiting I’d continue the medication and contact your vet to let them know once they’re open.
