My unneutered male cat meows excessively at night. What can I do?

I would say it is time to neuter Hobi! He is likely yeowling at night by the window because he wants to go prowling for females with whom he can mate. Even if he does find one to mate with, he's still going to want to go out every night to find females, so the way to stop this behavior is to have him neutered. I see that Lucifer isn't neutered. More than likely, he has reached sexually maturity, and wants to go out to find females with which to mate. Probably soon he will start urine marking in the house to mark his territory. Even letting him out to mate will not stop the behavior, it will continue. Unfortunately it's impossible to know why Adik is meowing so much! If the cats are not spayed and neutered, he is more likely to reactive if the female is coming into heat or if there are other un-neutered males outside. If they are not spayed and neutered, I recommend to have this done. This may help to decrease reactivity but it may now fully control it. Other things you can do are related to environmental enrichment. I see that Casper is a little less than a year old, and he is also not neutered - so I'm afraid this is very normal behavior. He is just now reaching sexual maturity, and as long as he is not neutered, he will be very motivated to roam and look for female cats. There is nothing at all you can do about this apart from having him neutered, so I would recommend doing this as soon as possible. You will both be much happier once this has been done :)

Hi there. If he isn't neutered, this may be a big part of the problem - unneutered males are highly motivated to go out and search for females, so they are often restless and vocal in the house. They also tend to spray (urine mark) around the house, and their urine is extremely smelly. Because of this, I would recommend getting Kovu neutered to see if this resolves the problem.

I totally understand how a very vocal cat can be frustrating. I would recommend having him neutered. A lot of times neutering will help with behavioral meowing. After you have him neutered make sure to hide toys and keep him engaged in activity to prevent him getting bored. I hope that helps
