How can I tell if my cat is fully grown and considered an adult?

Normally all of their adult teeth have grown in by the age of 6 months. So if his adult canine (the large pointy ones) have grown in then he is likely done getting all of his teeth and over 6 moths old. Unfortunately, some kittens will continue to "teeth" or be mouthy until they are well over 1 year old just because that is kitten behavior. I hope this answers your question.

Her baby teeth have erupted, but she appears quite small. Kittens typically weigh 2lbs at 8 weeks of age so you can use this as an estimate as well. I hope this information helps!

Most cats can be fixed once they are over a certain weight rather than a certain age. Bringing him to your vet to be weighed and talking with your vet can let you know if he is large enough to be neutered. Your vet can also check for any remaining baby teeth in his mouth, as well as adult teeth that have come in to give you a closer estimate of his age. (It's hard to tell from your photo if those are still baby teeth or if they are adult teeth coming in, but this usually happens starting around 3-4 months of age, and finishes around 6-7 months.)

Genetics play in to how skeletally big an animal or person will be. Either Wilkie has some small relatives are he is just abnormally small from a mutation. The general rule of thumb is about 1 month of age for each pound of weight. This is not accurate in all cases though. Baby teeth, incisors and canines (fangs), erupt at about 3-4 weeks of age. If Lucy has all her baby teeth, she is at least 6 weeks old. You should be able to determine sex right away. This is how: Lift the tail. Right under the tail is the anus. Below that is another opening which is round in males and a vertical slit in females. Also, the distance between the anus and genital opening is greater in males. A physical exam by your vet can confirm gender. You can also post a clear picture of the back end in a new question and we can let you know.

Cats stop growing by 11-12 months of age in general. It is likely Ella is done growing. Some cats are small but I recommend to have her examined by the veterinarian with some bloodwork to make sure everything is normal. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
