Why does my Sphinx cat have a throbbing heart, vomiting, and diarrhea?

I’m sorry Fifi is sick! I would be concerned about an intestinal obstruction, pancreatitis, or an intestinal parasite. Especially as we head into a long weekend where many primary practices will be closed I would highly encourage you to have her evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. It can be normal to feel your cat's heart beat on both the right and left side when you are holding your cat. The heart is located on the left side of the body, but it's left of the center and not all the way over to the right. I am concerned that Dory has been vomiting and having diarrhea for a week. She needs to see a vet for that asap, as it's quite serious to have these symptoms for that long. She could have a foreign body, severe GI illness, or other illness causing the vomiting and diarrhea. Acute vomiting and diarrhea, especially with poor appetite and lethargy, are certainly cause for concern. This could be caused by an infection, something stuck in Max's intestines, or a metabolic problem. At the veterinarian, they will examine him and probably take x-rays and run some lab work to look for the underlying cause of Max's issues. I wouldn't wait very long to go to the vet since Max is so young and small and so can become dehydrated quickly. See if you can get in for an exam today.

I’m sorry that Pino isn’t feeling well! He may have eaten something toxic causing him to vomit or have intestinal parasites or an obstruction. Dehydration can cause an increased heart rate, as fluids are lost with the vomit. I recommend having Pino seen by a vet who can give him some fluids for stabilization and determine what is causing him to vomit.

Poor Splash! This vomiting could be caused by a GI illness, eating something rotten, a foreign body, or pancreatitis. Given that he has been vomiting since Friday morning, it's time to see a vet as soon as possible. The vet can diagnose what is causing the vomiting so he can be treated . I would take Splash into a vet now.

There are many conditions that can result in vomiting and diarrhea and they go from dietary indiscretion which may resolve on its own to systemic diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease or pancreatitis, among others. I recommend that you have Sammie evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. I would recommend that you have Alfie examined by a veterinarian. His symptoms could be caused by food intolerance, food allergies, intestinal parasites, inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal lymphoma, hyperthyroidism, systemic disease (liver, kidney, pancreas, diabetes), among others. After a thorough physical exam and review of his history, the vet may recommend bloodwork, intestinal parasite screening, or ultrasound to determine what could be the cause. They may also recommend that you do food trial for possible food allergies.
