My senior cat is losing vision, not cataracts. Can supplements help?

I would guess that Ebony may have had retinal detachment secondary to high blood pressure. Kidney disease can cause increased blood pressure. If her retinas partially reattached she may have regained some vision.

Unfortunately, no - cats can't wear glasses or contact lenses the way that humans do, because the causes of vision loss in cats is not the same as a human who might be near-sighted or far-sighted. Night blindness is unusual but it can develop. Sometimes this is hereditary but other causes like nutritional imbalance or a retinol disease could also be the cause. I am not quite sure. It may be that you are seeing a severely dilated pupil. Some disease can cause hypertension, which if unmanaged for some time, can cause damage to the retina which causes a dilated pupil and blindness. I would recommend that you have Tiger examined by the vet. They can look at the eye and do bloodwork and blood pressure testing to see what is going on.
