Pregnant cat discharge, no kitten movement: Is it an emergency?

Hello, at this point, just give her some more time, as long as she does not seem to be in any distress. Milk letdown is often stimulated with uterine contractions & the physical stimulation of the kittens attaching to the nipples. Since I cannot see the actual discharge you are seeing, I cannot say if this is normal cervical secretions or a problem, so if you are very concerned, contact your veterinarian to examine her to make sure she is having a healthy pregnancy. I can certainly understand being worried! It's not normal for a cat to have a brownish fluid discharge, either pregnant or not. If she is pregnant, this can be a sign of a spontaneous abortion, or it can be a pyometra. Either is a medical emergency, and I would take Kiara back into a vet immediately.

Please take her to your nearest vet if labour does not progress within the next hour. What she has passed may be a deformed kitten but now that she has started the rest of the litter must follow or she is at severe risk of infection

Miscarriage and dystocia are possible in this case and an immediate veterinary check up would be needed to confirm this clinical suspicion and treat appropriately. C section may be needed. Keep watching her, but do not disturb her. If she does not produce another kitten in about an hour and the red bubble is still there and looks thick, like fleshy tissue, you need to take her and her babies to the vet as she may have a uterine prolapse, which can cause her to die, if it is not reduced.

Labor and delivery can take many hours depending on the mother and size of the litter. Contactions longer than 1hour without delivery of a kitten, restlessness and discomfort longer than 2hours or breaks between kittens of more than 4hours are all indications of the need for furhter action. Often getting them out of bed for gentle exercise/toileting/drink can help to kickstart labor again
