Accidentally put pet eye cleaner in my cat's eyes. Is it safe?

Your poor kitty! Yes, alcohol in the eye is dangerous because it can cause severe irritation, discharge, rubbing of the eye, which in turn can lead to a corneal ulcer. I would see if she will allow you to rinse her eye again with cool water, and keep close watch on her eye. If you see any redness, she starts rubbing at it, the eye appears swollen, or there is any discharge, take her into a vet right away. Hopefully, however, she didn't get any in her eye and she is fine. In the future, do not use alcohol on her scratches. Not only does it burn, but it can be harmful to her. She should have her eyes checked by a vet to make sure the eye is ok. Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Epi-Otic is not dangerous when licked or ingested. However, if it got into Ballball eyes and if he is showing signs of discomfort (rubbing on the eye, squinting) the eye should be rinsed with clean, fresh water.

The best thing to do is rinse the eye as much as possible with artificial tears or saline eye wash. After that, if there is redness or swelling and she is not wanting to keep the eye open then take her to a vet tonight to see if it burned her cornea and created an ulcer. If she is holding it open and it does not seem to bother her, then monitor it for any changes
