I doubt it is from her diet but I would be concerned about parasites like fleas 9 demodex or she could have a skin infection. I recommend taking her to a vet for an exam. Kittens will go through growing phases where their coat will look more dull or more shiny until they reach adult age. I would not be overly concerned based on those photos you posted - I think he looks normal. Once he is closer to adulthood you can have a better idea of how the coat is really doing and you can make a judgment from there if you need to change foods or add in a coat supplement to the diet.

A good, balanced diet is a great base for a good coat. Daily brushing and grooming can also help keep the coat shinier and fuller. You can also add in a supplement such as vitamin E and fish oils which can help improve coat health as well. Keeping the coat clean with regular baths or using pet/baby wipes can also help keep it full and shiny.

Hello. I am sorry that Jagu isn't feeling well. If Jagu isn't growing well it could be that he has a condition in his gut or with his metabolic system. I would suggest you bring him to a vet and have bloodwork done to make sure Jagu doesn't have an underlying disease condition. Also deworming Jagu is a good idea as he could have worms making him not grow well. Flea products might be a good idea as well in case that is the cause of the poor hair coat. Good luck with Jagu.

It’s important to give a daily cat vitamin if you are making a home made diet. Cats have requirements for amino acids and vitamins and can develop heart disease and other problems if they are missing essential nutrients.
