Why does my older cat keep licking my younger cat's head so much?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 11 lbs

My older cat has been coming up to my younger cat randomly and grooming his head alot latelt, he lets her for a while but ultimately he swats her to stop sometimes she swats him befpre he can. Its becoming a pattern. Why is she trying to lick him so much?

Your cat may be trying to bond with your younger cat, and this is normal and healthy. Make certain you don't see any signs of skin infection or ear mites or other physical issue going on, however, that would require veterinary attention. Sometimes ear infections will trigger excessive grooming among pets.
