When to litter train 1-month-old kittens and prevent eating litter?

When do we start introducing kittens to litter box?I have 1 month old kittens and only digs in the clothes and starts to urinate.Any advices on how to let them use the litter box properly instead of getting swallowed by kittens?Im afraid that my kittens will swallow it especially if they're feeling hungry

They can be introduced to the litter box anytime. The mom should be teaching them to use it. You need to make sure it is shallow enough that the kittens can easily get in/out of it. Because of this they will probably make a huge mess. Usually they will not eat the litter. If you find this to be a problem you can use shredded newspapers as litter until they are older.
