Where is my 1-month-old kittens' pee and poop? Is mom eating it?

They can be introduced to the litter box anytime. The mom should be teaching them to use it. You need to make sure it is shallow enough that the kittens can easily get in/out of it. Because of this they will probably make a huge mess. Usually they will not eat the litter. If you find this to be a problem you can use shredded newspapers as litter until they are older.

Now that she is 3-4 weeks old she may be peeing or pooping without your knowledge. Go ahead and start teaching her the litter box but make sure it is small enough that she can get in and out. If you haven't already I would also start weaning her to cat food. At first you will still have to supplement with formula but you start by putting all for feet in canned food on a paper plate. Soon she will start eating that. And once she gets a little older, approximately 6 week, you can start adding softened kibble. The fact that she is still playful and acting normally, I do not think she is block and not urinating or pooping. Usually they will become lethargic. If you still haven't see any irons or poop in the next day or she becomes lethargic then I would see your vet for an exam. Without an image it would be hard to say what you are seeing. It could be a parasite, bug, etc crawling around. Checking the environment for anything similar may alert you to this, and you can use a flea comb and Dawn dish soap to kill any fleas on kittens that young. If mom is taking care of the kittens, she is likely cleaning/stimulating your kitten to go potty, however 4-5 weeks is around the age they should start showing interest in the litter box and start eating solid food so more stool may appear, and the momma cat may be taking him to a litter box to go potty as well. You can watch to see if this is the case.

When the kittens switch from milk to solid foods there will definitely be a change in the consistency of their feces. Monitor their poop to make sure there is no blood or mucous in it. And I would not worry yet about the kitten not using the litter box because she is still very young. By the time she is 2 months old she will likely have figured it out.

Hormonal changes, changes to diet, underlying illness, parasites, etc, however may cause GI upset or diarrhea, so if it continues, having your vet take a look in person is best to rule out causes and provide treatment that is safe for mom and babies. The mother cat should start to litter train the babies once they are old enough (usually around the time they start to try solid foods around 3-4 weeks of age), however as they get older, you can start bringing them to the litterbox as well to encourage them to use it.

It is possible that the kittens just need a little bit more time to figure out the litter box. Three weeks is still quite young and they may not fully understand what the litter boxes for. I would recommend enclosing both kittens in a small area with one to two litter boxes that are cleaned daily. In most situations kittens will figure this out relatively quickly. There is also a litter additive called Cat Attract that may be helpful in enticing Laila to use the litter box for pooping. I would also ensure that Laila is able to get in and out of the litter box provided with minimal difficulty. Using a litter box with low sides may be beneficial. If this continues to be a problem I would recommend consulting with your veterinarian as she may have an underlying medical condition such as parasites exacerbating this issue.
