My kitten is throwing up white foam and not playing. What should I do?

Tapeworms don't typically cause major illness in cats and I would be concerned that Tiana has something more serious going on. Other types of intestinal parasites, infectious diseases or even ingestion of a foreign object resulting in an intestinal blockage would be more likely to cause these signs. Poor Frodo! Some cats do vomit during deworming due to the strength of the medication combined with the parasites moving through the GI system. These side effects should only last a few days, so if it's been longer than that, I would be concerned that it could be due to something else, such as a GI illness, a foreign body, or pancreatitis. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If you can get to a veterinarian, go today! The doctor can test for viruses and treat her with antivomiting medications and fluids. If there are no veterinarians around, you need to be force feeding her and giving her water with a syringe or an eye dropper. Try to get at least 30cc of water in her per day and 10cc of soft food.
