Why is my kitten vomiting, having diarrhea, and meowing loudly?

My kitten is throwing up, pooping itself, and is meaowing loudly. What could be the cause of this?

This sounds like a severe gastroenteritis, possibly from an infection or parasites. Please ssek urgent veterinary attention for her as young kittens can rapidly become dangerously dehydrated and weak majing treatment very difficult

Blacky looks to be a kitten. Causes of diarrhea in kittens are: intestinal parasites, viral, bacterial or protozoal infections, she ate something gross that is upsetting her stomach, food allergy/intolerance, reaction to a food change, new treat or people food.

When it comes to cat diarrhea, if it doesn't bet better in 1-2 days I recommend a vet exam. I would bring a stool sample to have it tested for worms. The vet can prescribe safe medications and a special intestinal diet to help her get better faster.

It sounds as Wonder Woman is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get if she vomits again, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.

These are very concerning signs and I would be concerned there may a severe gastrointestinal tract infection and possibly also a birth defect affecting normal bowel function given he has been underweight since birth. The weakness is likely due to dehydration and this must be assessed and treated by a vet urgently in order to stabilise his condition

Why is my sick kitten weak, disoriented, purring, and has diarrhea?

A kitten who is weak and disorientated should be seen by a vet right away. Purring is not always a sign of being content, cats can also purr when they are sick and in pain. I would call around to find a vet who is open to see Gwennyth right away. The diarrhea could be making her dehydrated, which would cause her to be weak and disorientated. Make sure she is getting plenty of water, and you can give her some boiled white meat chicken (no bones) in small amounts. Get her into a vet as soon as possible.

Hi and thanks for your post! It is hard to say what exactly the issue with Ollie is sight unseen without examining her first, but I can offer a few insights. Parasites, viral infections (especially if not up to date on her core vaccines), dietary indiscretion (eating something other than her normal kitten food) or an intestinal obstruction can all cause vomiting and diarrhea. Persistent vomiting and diarrhea can be dangerous in kittens, so you have good reason to worry. The biggest concern is that he can quickly get dehydrated, which is life-threatening. In order to keep this from happening, he will need to see a vet, so they can administer fluids. They also may be able to find the cause of the Diarrhea/vomiting and correct that. With kittens, I am mostly concerned about infections. Luckily, most of these are treatable, so getting him to the vet as soon as possible will make a big difference in keeping him from getting dangerously sick. My 6-week-old kitten won't eat, has diarrhea, and is losing weight.

Given her age there are several things that cross my mind, but a common issue in these young kittens is parasites. Sometimes their parasite burden can be so high that they cannot maintain adequate glucose levels, and also can become uninterested in food and sometimes will begin vomiting. I would recommend deworming her. Also, it would be important to rule out signs of infection and/or sepsis. I think she needs to be seen by a veterinarian right away. Such a young and small animal can deteriorate quickly even with easy to resolve issues like gastrointestinal parasites.
