My kitten threw up string but seems fine. Does he need to see a vet?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 4 months and 21 days old | 13.6 lbs

My kitten just vomited a long piece of string. He's been eating and drinking water since and seems fine. Should I take him to the vet if he acts normal?

If you're able to pay close attention to Panda's energy, eating, bowel movements and urinations- specifically looking for vomiting, gagging, not eating, not defecating, straining to defecate or diarrhea- then monitoring him would be acceptable! I hope he recovers without problem!!
