Kitten not eating, swollen after bee sting and vet shots. What to do?

It is not uncommon for kittens or cats to occasionally eat a bug. As long as she didnt get stung, she should "bee" fine. Monitor for lethargy, loss of appetite vomiting or diarrhea. These are symptoms that should be addressed by your veterinarian.

Hello, I think you are correct, it is probably something worse than a bee sting. My guess is that he has an abscess (infection). The infection causes a fever which is probably why his appetite is poor and he doesn't want to drink. I suggest you Leo to a vet for an examination and treatment. He will need antibiotics to get this to clear up. He is obviously in pain so the vet can also give him something for that. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Hello. I am sorry Simba is not feeling well. It is possible that Simba was incubating, or had a low-grade infection. The allergy shot was actually a steroid injection that lowers the ability of the immune system to respond to an infection, essentially making the infection worse. So, this is not a behavior change, Simba just is under the weather. Hopefully, the antibiotics will keep things from getting worse, but if Simba does not pick up in a couple of days, please call your veterinarian. He may need a change in antibiotics, or be placed on an antiviral medication. As long as he is eating a little each day, he will be OK, but if he refuses all food, have him seen as soon as possible. It sound like Frank is definitely an outdoor kitty, so I would definitely lean toward that assumption. Look hard on the leg and paw for any sort of puncture wound, entrance wound, or evidence of cuts and bruising. If you feel some and can't see it, it might be helpful to clip some of the hair to get a look. If Frank doesn't want to eat or drink, or even move, if might just be in yours and her best interest to have her seen by a vet. There is a good chance that she may require some treatment including fluid therapy and antibiotics. They will also be able to provide an anti inflammatory to help with the swelling on the hand. I am sorry your Kitty is not feeling well. Unforutnaly with the information you provided it is hard to give really good advice. I would recommend taking her to a vet as soon as possible. If she is young ( under 4-5 weeks) I would recommend bottle feeding her with kitten milk replacer every 2-3 hours. If Kitty is older than this you can take dry kibble and mix with warm water every few hours. I would not recommend giving milk to older kittens because it can upset Kitty's stomach. I would also recommend a good round of deworming . Hope that helps
