My cat has a swollen, painful leg and isn't eating. What should I do?

It sound like Frank is definitely an outdoor kitty, so I would definitely lean toward that assumption. Look hard on the leg and paw for any sort of puncture wound, entrance wound, or evidence of cuts and bruising. If you feel some and can't see it, it might be helpful to clip some of the hair to get a look. If Frank doesn't want to eat or drink, or even move, if might just be in yours and her best interest to have her seen by a vet. There is a good chance that she may require some treatment including fluid therapy and antibiotics. They will also be able to provide an anti inflammatory to help with the swelling on the hand. There is nothing that can done at home in this case, I'm sorry. Leo is obviously in a lot of pain, and there are no OTC pain medications for cats. Many human ones are toxic to cats, and are fatal if given. Plus he has a fever, and it's extremely serious he won't. The best thing for him is to find the closest vet to you, and get him there now.

There is a good chance she could have an abscess. It needs to be opened and drained and then put on antibiotics for the infection. They can also give her some pain medications to help. If it is not an abscess then they may recommend doing an X-ray and make sure she didn’t break something. So I would have her looked at by tour vet. Hope she feels better soon

It is probably an abscess. You can try soaking the foot in warm epsom salt water for 5 minutes 3 times per day. That may help draw the infection out. Honestly though, most of the time oral antibiotics are also needed to get this to heal up completely. She definitely looks like she does not feel well so if you can eventually get her to a vet that would be really great.

This is very likely the result of the cat fight he had few days ago. The lesion look like a burst abscess or a bite wound.
