He could also have parasites that need to be treated. If it continues than he should be examined by a vet to determine the cause. Kittens can sleep a lot, but if she is very listless I would be worried that she is ill and should be seen by a veterinarian right away. Starvation and dehydration can very quickly cause a kitten to go downhill which could be why she is so lethargic and requires medical care. Congrats on your new kitten! It is really hard to say what is going on with Hiccup without seeing him. He could have an intestinal parasite that is stealing his nutrients. He could also have a malformation of his anatomy that his sister doesn't have. Ideally he needs to see a veterinarian to have a physical exam and to check his stools for microscopic worms. You can purchase an over the counter kitten dewormer and follow the instructions labeled until he can be seen by a vet. Please note not every dewormer treats every kind of parasite.
