Poor Luna! The incident may have caused some internal damage to her throat area or inner ear and may cause her to be painful. I recommend having Luna seen by a vet as soon as possible, who will be able to take some x-rays to see if there is any damage and the extent of it. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Koneko is very cute! I can't make out the scratch on the 2nd picture. Cat bites can be very dirty and commonly cause infections or abscesses. Koneko could have an abscess forming for could be painful after being attacked. She could also be a little traumatized. I would ask your neighbors who they use for Veterinary care. Some large animal (horse or cow) also are mixed animal Vets that also treat cats and dogs. Or I would call your local SPCA and see if they have a low cost Veterinary clinic built in. The best thing for Koneko is to have an exam done, that way we can bet her better. She also needs to start her vaccinations and be dewormed. Until she is better and had her shots I would keep her indoors. I hope this helps and I wish Koneko the best!

That would depend on the cause of the head shaking and salivating. Rabies is possible, even in a kitten so young, if it hasn't been vaccinated. The most common cause of this is licking something that doesn't taste good. Be careful to not get bitten, and use a syringe or a water hose on very low pressure to rinse out the mouth with cool water. Don't spray it in the back of the throat. If it seems like the kitten can't swallow, he really needs to see a vet, or if the salivating continues or he starts showing other abnormalities that could be associated with rabies, such as tremors, seizuring, or becoming aggressive.

If she is extremely lethargic then I would take her today, otherwise tomorrow at your Vet at the latest. She could have a fever from an upper respiratory tract infection, leukemia, feline infectious peritonitis or other viral infection. I wish you and Sasha the best!

This is not good news. It is likely that your kitten has an upper respiratory infection which affects its eyes as well. This is usually caused by a virus and a secondary bacterial infection which then causes pus which "glues" the eye shut. Your kitty will need to be seen by a veterinarian ASAP, who will give her an exam to find out the cause and then prescribe medications accordingly, DO not wait for this to get better by itself, as the earlier the disease is treated the faster Lily La La will recover, Make sure she eats and drinks well.

This sign is very concerning and may eventually be in a life threatening condition. Fever or extreme discomfort may be present. I would strongly recommend an immediate check up to confirm this clinical suspicion and have the appropriate treatment performed. Antibiotics may be needed.

Hi there, You kitten sounds like she has either a serious infection or a neurologic problem occuring. She needs to be seen by a vet ASAP because everything you're describing means she's very sick.
