You can try warming the food or mixing in a teaspoon of baby food into it. This could stimulate her appetite. You can also take her temperature to check for fever. Use a rectal thermometer and sterile lube. Normal temp is between 37 C and 39 C (100 F- 102.5 F). Anything above that is considered a fever and should be addressed by your veterinarian.

Hello, & thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Make sure what you are feeding the kitten is an appropriate kitten milk replacer. Kittens this young are not able to regulate their temperatures well, so make sure you have her on a heating pad set on low with a towel on top. There should be an area for the kitten to move off if it gets too warm. Make sure you are not overfeeding the kitten. A kitten needs 2 tablespoons ( 30 mls ) per 4 ounces ( 115 grams ) of body weight daily. Divide the daily amount into equal portions for each feeding & fed every 3-4 hours until bedtime. Stimulate the genital area after each meal, but do not be concerned if she does not have a BM each time. You can try feeding her a congee, which is often tolerated by the sickest kittens. Take 1-2 cups chicken broth ( low or no salt added ), add 1/4 cup white rice & a tiny sliver of fresh ginger. Boil for 2 hours. While cooling, add 1 Tbsp good quality protein powder - egg or casein, not soy. Stir together very well. The mix should be a bit thick. Drip into kittens mouth 1/2 - 1 ml at a time. Hopefully she will start to turn around. Just keep at it. Good luck.

What a cute kitten! Offering a meat flavored baby food may help entice him to eat. Warming his food may also allow him to smell it better which will help his appetite. Offer him small meals several times a day as his stomach is too small to eat a lot at one time at this age. Definitely have him rechecked by your veterinarian if he's not eating by tomorrow. I hope he's feeling better soon.

Poor Nova! A kitten this young with a fever can have a number of different problems going on. If she is having trouble defecating, she could have either diarrhea or constipation issues, as both conditions can look the same in kittens and cause them to be uncomfortable and vocalize when they defecate. If she is from a feral litter, and her litter mates did not survive, I would be very concerned about a possible infection or congenital problem going on. She likely has intestinal parasites, given her history, and needs to be dewormed. At 4 months, she should be started on a vaccine schedule as well, if she hasn't been already. I would recommend you take her in to your vet to be evaluated. She could still have an undulating fever that needs to be treated with supportive care and potentially antibiotics for a potential infection. I would also recommend testing her for FIV (feline aids) and Feline leukemia, which usually can be done quickly in a hospital with a few drops of blood. She needs to be fed kitten food, preferably tinned. Buy some tinned kitten food from your pet doctor or a pet shop. Your kitten will need to be fed 4 times a day. Curd is not a proper feed for a kitten and could be the reason for her diarrhea. She may also need to be wormed.

I recommend that you take a warm soft cloth and gently wipe the genital area. When kittens are raised by their mother the mom licks them after they nurse ti stimulate the kittens to eliminate.
