My kitten has fever, diarrhea, and hasn't eaten in 3 days. Help!

My 3 months old Persian kitten is sick has fever and diarrhoea is not eating anything from 3 days.

Since your kitten has not eaten in three days, this is an emergency now. It is likely very dehydrated as well. Please take Muezza to an out of hours veterinary service NOW. If you do not know where you can find such a service, please ring your veterinary practice and there will be emergency information on the answering machine.

Isn’t feeling well. Fever can be caused by many different problems. The last picture her eyes look a little sunken in which worries me that she is dehydrated. I would highly encourage you to have her evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. If that is not possible then fluid intake is very important. She is likely not pooping because she is not eating. The underlying problem is not likely to be constipation but something else. The more hydrated she is the more likely she is to feel better. However, without a diagnosis it is hard to know what else she may need, so veterinary care would be very important to her prognosis. Best of luck and I hope she improves soon. You can try warming the food or mixing in a teaspoon of baby food into it. This could stimulate her appetite. You can also take her temperature to check for fever. Use a rectal thermometer and sterile lube. Normal temp is between 37 C and 39 C (100 F- 102.5 F). Anything above that is considered a fever and should be addressed by your veterinarian.

I strongly recommend getting your cat seen by your vet as soon as possible. Cats can sometimes get fevers with no known origin and it makes them not want to eat. A cat cannot go more than a couple days without eating before they develop liver damage. Your cat may need fluids and supportive care in order to lower his temperature back to normal and support him until his appetite returns.

What to do if my kitten isn't eating, pooping, and has a fever?

Because Suga is so young it's important that he eats every 2-3 hours - he should either be nursing from his mother or you should be bottle feeding him with a neonatal kitten formula, such as KMR. You can stimulate him to urinate and defecate (poop) using a warm wash cloth and gently cleaning around his anus - this is what the mother cat does when she licks her kittens. If he is not eating or defecating at all and you truly think he has a fever, he needs to be seen by your veterinarian right away. Kittens can become dehydrated, weak, and succumb to infections very quickly. Good luck and I hope Suga gets better soon!
