My 6-week-old kitten is sad, not eating, and crying. What's wrong?

You can probably wait until the morning to take him in to your regular vet. Just try to keep him calm and comfortable until then the best you can. If he starts crying out in pain for no reason, is vomiting without stopping, or having any bloody vomitus or diarrhea you should take him in tonight. Otherwise he will likely be ok until morning. Given her age there are several things that cross my mind, but a common issue in these young kittens is parasites. Sometimes their parasite burden can be so high that they cannot maintain adequate glucose levels, and also can become uninterested in food and sometimes will begin vomiting. I would recommend deworming her. Also, it would be important to rule out signs of infection and/or sepsis. I think she needs to be seen by a veterinarian right away. Such a young and small animal can deteriorate quickly even with easy to resolve issues like gastrointestinal parasites.

Seven weeks is old enough that Pebbles should be on a solid kitten diet either in kibble form or via wet food. Feeding milk such as goat milk may cause digestive upset and isn't the best for kitten tummies. It may be that your kitten has some stomach upset or is confused by the change in food and is hungry, which is why he is crying. Offering some regular kitten food and seeing if he eats it may help. If Pebbles continues to not want to eat, or appears ill/lethargic, then scheduling a vet visit ASAP to rule out any health problems is best.

I would recommend to take Willow to the veterinarian for an examine. Not eating is generally a sign of illness. The doctor will examine her and check her temperature and may recommend diagnostics.
