Kitten leaking poop and not eating after vet visit: What's wrong?

The vast majority of these cases are due to an intestinal infection or a diet sensitivity. His veterinarian will likely perform fecal testing. Deworming medication or an antibiotic may be necessary. If this does not help, then a diet change could be needed. A high quantity kitten food is needed though. Royal Canin, Purina ProPlan and Hills Science Diet are all good options. Fecal incontinence can be due to a neurologic problem or a problem with the colon or rectum. Sometimes cats with diarrhea can also show mild fecal incontinence. Your veterinarian can check his reflexes and and anal tone to see if he is showing signs of neurologic disease. Other possibilities include trauma (possibly before you got him), diseases like megacolon, or a rectal stricture. Your veterinarian might recommend a taking a stool sample, taking some spinal x-rays, or sedating Gizmo for a digital rectal exam. I would guess that the worms are tapeworm segments and are unrelated to the cause of his fecal incontinence unless you have seen him scooting.

This could definitely be because of the change of food but the black color concerns me that there may be digested blood present. Since she is so young and tiny, I would consider this urgent so I would try to get her into the vet soon. I would that she may become dehydrated or sicker if it isn't addressed. Koko may have intestinal parasites still or colitis. She may have some food indiscretion or sensitivity. I suggest you take a fresh stool sample to your vet for a fecal exam. If she has parasites, she will need to be wormed/receive medication against the type of parasites present, again. sometimes worming has to be repeated. If she has a food indiscretion you will have to change her diet. Best to take her for a recheck to your veterinarian and discuss diet options with him.

If Bailey isn't eating well he may need a veterinary exam. He could have burns in his mouth from chewing on cords or may have a GI foreign body if he plays with strings or other things he finds. If he is vomiting at all, straining to defecate or acting sick he needs a vet visit asap.

Not wanting to eat and soft soft could indicate a variety of medical conditions: a parasitic infection, bacterial infection, pancreatitis, or inflammatory bowl disease may be a cause just to name a few. I would recommend Anouk see a veterinarian so these possibilities can be ruled out. I would be sure to bring a fecal sample with you in case the veterinarian wants to test her stool.
