Do kittens imprint on humans, especially if rescued and bottle-fed?

Cookie will learn to know you and love you pretty quickly. They know who feeds them and usually become pretty attached with in a few days to a few weeks depending on how outgoing they are. I hope this helps!

Each kitten can have its own personality that differs from the "standard" for the breed. In general I find male cats to be more "cuddly" than females but there are exceptions to that rule. Also kittens can have drastic changes in their personality as they grow into adults. So you may look at adult cats for adoption as their personalities are more set. The other consideration is that in a shelter setting it is hard to really judge a cat's personality since there can be strange noises, smells, environment. At the end of the day if this kitten is really "speaking" to you it could be she is meant for you and you can help mold her personality through lots of interaction and play.

There is not a problem with spending all day at home as long as the kitty is being taken care of meaning that is fed good food and given water and that he is provided with preventative care like vaccines and deworming and they also interact with her regularly. That will depend on the personality of the kitten. If you are worried about adjustment, you could invite the people where it is going to find a new home a few times to come and play with the kitten. That way the kitten will be familiar with them and their smell before moving into their home. It is also a good idea to give the new owners the same cat food the kitten is used to eating and some of the toys if available. Then I do not think there will be a big problem moving to a new home.

I suspect that it has become “normal” for them to have kittens in the house now, so it is not as new and exciting as it once was. It is also possible that as your cats grow older they are just less interested in that type of behavior. I hope this answers your question, and how great of you to continue to foster these kittens! Hello. There is no immediate danger with this behavior & the male kitten will eventually kick everyone off him as he matures. Because of the self-grooming cats do I do not recommend placing a bitter spray on him. Just anytime you see one of the kittens doing this, just gently remove her & try to distract with a treat.
