Why is my 12-week-old kitten's pee hazy and white? Should I worry?

Poor Snowball! This could be caused by a UTI or bladder stones. I would recommend taking her into your vet today or first thing tomorrow for an exam. Your vet can do routine blood tests and a urinalysis to see if she does have a UTI or bladder stones. If she has a UTI, she will need antibiotics to treat it. Bladder stones may need to be removed surgically, or can be managed with diet. Please take her in today

The longer he holds his urine the darker in color and stronger odor it can have. Also if he dehydrated it has potential to make the urine a little darker. Since he has issues with a litter box, I would have his urine checked for a UTI or crystals to see if that is complicating the situation and causing some of these problems. You can also add canned food to make sure he is getting plenty of fluids

It's possible the diet change and medication could cause the urine to change some. I would give it a few days as long as they aren't showing any other signs of illness, and make sure they are eating and drinking enough. If the problem persists, worsens, or other symptoms appear, a vet visit to rule out any other issues is best.

Hi. This may just be a variation of normal for Tiger. But, if it is out of the ordinary, or you feel something is off, I recommend getting him seen. He may have a urinary tract infection or some other medical cause for increased water drinking. Your veterinarian will want to do a urinalysis and possibly some lab work. Good luck.

Hello and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sometimes it may be normal for a kittens urine to have a stronger odor especially if the urine is very concentrated. You may want to try feeding an all canned diet with water mixed in to help reduce the urine concentration. However, sometimes a UTI can cause a change in urine odor. As long as Beasty is using the litter box normally and not having urinary accidents or going urinating small amounts frequently, I would be less concerned about a UTI. However, if changes in her urination habits occur (like straining to urinate, frequent urination, crying while urinating) or if she stops eating or drinking or becomes lethargic it would be a good idea to schedule a vet visit. Also, if the urine odor persists you may want to bring a sample to your veterinarian to have it evaluated. I hope this is helpful!

Woori sounds very sick. Being cold to the touch is a very serious sign. I hate to hear that your kitten is so sick. There are many things that will cause him to be sick: viral infections, parasites, toxins, damaged organs, intestinal blockage and infections. I am very concerned about the signs you are describing. Pale gums are also very serious. The urine issues may indicate kidney damage or parasites within the kidneys. Woori needs to see the veterinarian today. The doctor will preform a thorough physical exam and hopefully start figuring out what is the underlying cause of his illness and if he can be treated. It would be rare for a kitten Reggie’s age to have kidney issues but it’s not impossible. It’s very easy to know if he is normal by running down routine bloodwork and a urinalysis.
