My kitten has flaky, dry skin and very little fur. Her skin is pink and has scab looking thinks all over. She also always has a distinctive sweaty smell. This is the shampoo and conditioner I'm using with her so now. Is this the right shampoo/conditioner? What see the ingredients I should be looking for in a shampoo/conditioner that will help with her fur and skin? How often should I be bathing her when her skin/fur is like this? What vitamins/supplements can help with her skin/fur problems?

Hi and thank you for your question on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
Redness and/or hair loss over the back near the tail can have many causes. The most common cause however is flea allergy. If Murphy is not on a flea preventative, this could be a possibility, even if he in indoors. It only takes 1 flea to induce a flea allergy. Other causes may be a fungal infection, bacterial infection, food allergy or other environmental allergy.
Coconut oil can help keep the area moist. I would recommend putting Murphy on a monthly flea preventative to rule out flea allergy as the cause. If it does not get any better in a week or so, I would see your veterinarian for a few skin tests.
