I am fostering two vbery young kittens with URIS. Their eyes are essentially glued shut and when pryed open they are filled with yellow pus. They are on antibiotics and eye ointment. I'm just wondering is it Okay or even good for me to pry them open to let some of the pus come out? Or could it be harmful for me to force them open? I'm just worried that if they stay shut they will swell even more and the pus will stay in there. Is it okay for me to pry them open or should I leave them be?
