My kitten's eyes are blurry and white. Is she blind? What to do?

Hello. This kitten has severe infection in both eyes. This requires IMMEDIATE veterinary attention if there is any chance of salvaging her eyes. She may have poor or no vision no matter what is done, but without medical intervention, it is likely that she will have to lose both eyes. She should be examined immediately and once evaluated, treatment can be started which will probably be a combination of oral and topical antibiotics. She may need to see a veterinary eye specialist if she does not start to improve, or she may need to have the eyes surgically removed. Hopefully, with immediate attention, she can improve. Please take her to your veterinarian or closest emergency clinic right away.

    Poor Harlee! She needs to see a vet immediately. It sounds like her eye was injured, and that is a medical emergency. Any injuries to the eye must be checked out right away, as leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. I would take Harlee into a vet now for an exam. If she is seen by a vet right away, that will increase the likelihood of a full recovery.

    No, the eye is not likely to get better on it's own but since I can't see it for myself it is difficult to say. It really sounds like she needs to see a vet. If you would like to post again with some photos of the eye we may be able to help you better.

    Poor little kitten! I would have this kitten seen by a vet immediately. The kitten should have suffered an injury to her eye causing the swelling. The eye is such a delicate and important structure the any problem with it should be considered an emergency. That's because leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. The vet can diagnose what is causing it's eye to swell so it can be treated.

Poor baby! It looks likes she might have a ruptured corneal ulcer so she needs to be examined by a veterinarian as soon as possible. It is difficult to determine if the eye can be treated based on just the picture but there is a chance she will not be visual in that eye and enucleation may be the best choice. This is probably an upper respiratory infection. it's very common in young cats and is very contagious to other cats as well. It is treated with antibiotic eye drops/ointment and oral antibiotics for about 2 weeks. if left untreated many cats will end up blind or even die from the disease. I advise going to your vet asap to start the treatment right away.
