My kitten's eye infection isn't improving, and the runt is sleepy.

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 16 days old | 0.5 lbs

Hello! I recently took in 3 kittens and their mother. The kittens are 2 weeks old and 2 out of 3 have eye infection. The eye stick together, have redness and are a little bit swollen. We’ve been treating with terramycin 3 times a day and are only seeing some improvement. This is the 4 day of treatment and the smallest runt doesn’t seem to be getting better. All of the kittens are eating and using the bathroom , but the smallest girl always wants to sleep. What should we do next?

As long as you are seeing some improvement, that is hopefully a good sign. You are still early in the treatment. I do however recommend to call the veterinarian and update them with the progress. They may want to switch antibiotics or they may give it another few days. I recommend to weigh the kittens daily. Kitten should gain weight every day and if they’re not gaining weight then that is a problem. This is likely the best way to know if the runt is doing well or not. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
